Memorial services for Kirk Edward Irwin, 43, Wichita, formerly of Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. He died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, at a Wichita hospice.
Mr. Irwin worked for Wendys and Ray Beers in Topeka and did construction work in Wichita.
He was born Oct. 1, 1958, in Topeka, the son of Edward F. and Rena Steen Irwin. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1976 and attended Washburn University and The University of Kansas.
He married Allison M. Bassett on July 18, 1991, at Wichita. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, both of the home; his parents, Edward and Rena Irwin, Topeka; and grandmother Esther Steen, Osage City.
Cremation is planned.
The family suggests memorials to Ken Berry Youth Baseball for underprivileged children, sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 S.W. 10th, Topeka, Kan., 66606.
