THS Class of 1976 50th Class Reunion

Friday Sept 25th, 2026:

Festivities will kick off at the Topeka High School auditorium with

Homecoming Assembly begins at 1:00pm in the HS auditorium. We will meet outside the auditorium prior to the Assembly so that we can get everyone together. They will announce the Class of 76 is present and celebrating their 50th Class Reunion. There will be an area reserved for Class of 76 attendees in the auditorium.

Homecoming Parade begins at 2:00pm. We will set up before the Assembly. Following the assembly, we will proceed to the parade staging ground where we will find the Class of 76 Float and receive our positioning details. Parade will start on Polk Street (Wear your commemorative T shirt!)

You Have choices! Choose one or both of the following: 

Homecoming Game – 6-8:30 pm (ish) Coronation will be before the game starting at 6:30 pm

(Hummer Sports Weaver-Erwin Stadium (515 SW Tuffy Kellogg Dr, Topeka, KS 66606).

You will be responsible for your own ticket (s) for the game. They will be announcing the Class of 76 is celebrating their 50th Class Reunion at this time as well. Please join the Game Day Social in the Hummer Press box Hospitality Room. Your ticket to the game gets you into the Game Day Social!

Social at Lake Shawnee - 6-10pm

If you are not interested in attending the football game head straight to the lake! We have reserved Shelter House #3 at Shawnee Lake for the evening starting at 6:00. This is where we will all gather for the remainder of the evening following the game. There will be food available at the lake while it lasts. There will also be a DJ, dancing encouraged. BYOB if you care to partake.

Saturday Sept 26th, 2026:

Tour of Topeka High School 10:00am

Meet in the THS Foyer -Please use the doors on 10th Street to enter THS.

THS Cinnamon Roll and Coffee or juice will be available for purchase for $5.00 per person

Memory Walk – following refreshments and tour

There will be a walk in memory of those we have lost around the THS square following coffee.

Pool Party - 1:00 pm Warren Evans has invited all attendees to his home for a pool party!

There is no cost associated with the Social Friday evening at the lake.

Our primary fund raiser is commemorative T shirts.  To order go to https://seveneightfive.fillout.com/thsspiritof76  Please Do Not enter a mailing address if you are picking up at the reunion.  The address is only required if you want your t-shirt mailed.

We decided against reserving any block of rooms as deposits and guarantees for a minimum number of rooms were required.  We are suggesting either the new Cyrus Hotel downtown on Kansas Ave or the Ramada Inn downtown.  The manager of The Cyrus Hotel did tell us to have folks mention that they are coming for the THS 76 class reunion when making reservations to obtain a reduced rate.
