Mark M. Barber, 62, Overbrook, Kansas, passed away Saturday. January 30, 2021.

Mark was born in Topeka, Kansas, to Robert and Rita Brennan Barber on July 29, 1958. He attended Topeka schools graduating from Topeka High School. He also attended Topeka Technical School. Mark worked as a security guard for many years. He and Diane King were married in 1982.

Mark liked guns and was a gunsmith; he liked motorcycles and music as well. He was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Mark had room enough in his heart for everyone. He especially loved his family. He was a very good Dad and grandfather.

Survivors include his children, Nick Barber and Debbie Lopez (Esau); grandchildren, Ashley Hale, Kiera Boone and Isabella Lopez; nine great-grandchildren, Raynah, Maleah, Carmelia, Lailoni, Annilyn, Jerry, Robert and Eliza; siblings, Rob Barber III, Rita Craig (Bill), John Paul Barber, Sr., Chris Barber and Danny Barber; and nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Robert, and brothers, Michael and Tim.

Cremation is planned. His family will gather at a later date to celebrate Mark.
