Obituary: Rosebud Louise Miller

Services will be at 10 am Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church for Rosebud Louise Miller, 28, 1243 Western. She was dead on arrival Saturday, Dec. 28, 1985, at a Topeka hospital.

Shawnee County Deputy District Coroner Dr. Robert D. Jensen said she suffered a massive heart attack.

Miss Miller had been a nurses aide at Fairlawn Heights Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 27, 1957, in Topeka, the daughter of Harold Dean and Rose Ann Blair Miller. She graduated from Topeka High School, was certified as a nurses' aide at Kaw Area Vocational-Technical School and attended Laborers Training School at Belton, Mo. She spent her life in Topeka.

She was a member of Pilgram Baptist Church and the Prairie Band of the Potawatomi Indian Tribe.

Survivors include a son, Quentin Kirk Lawton, Topeka; her stepmother, Mrs. Delores A. Miller, Topeka; three sisters, Linda Hamuud and Cynthia Miller, both of Mayetta, and DeAnna Miller, Topeka; four brothers, Keenan Miller, Randolph Miller, Mark Miller and Christopher Miller, all of Topeka; two stepbrothers, Duane McCrary, Madison, Wis., and John McCrary, Topeka, and a grandmother, Mrs. Leona Miller, Topeka.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Miller will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home, where relatives and friends will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for Quentin Kirk Lawton, and sent in care of the funeral home.
