Walter N. "Sam" Scott III, 59, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born April 30, 1958 in Topeka, the son of Walter and Joan (Rolley) Scott.

Sam graduated from Topeka High School and attended Washburn University. He had resided in Broken Arrow for the past 28 years.

Survivors include his children, Walter N. Scott, IV of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Robert "Rob" Scott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and his siblings, Cynthia (Mark) Anderson of Monument, Colorado and Carol Steves of Topeka.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota, Topeka, KS. Private interment will take place Lynn Creek Cemetery southeast of Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the organization of the donor’s choice.
